Karl Lagerfeld said  “Music gives color to the air of the moment. Yes that’s what CPRM’s doing  to their daily  listeners. Playing the music from the past and most recent compositions of our composers  rekindled the  colourful stories of a lifetime. January 31,2013 , the day Canadian Pinoy Radio-Montreal .net start soaring on airwaves  thru the power of internet here in the heart of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

By the month the of Feb.,2013, the music radio CPRM, was available in mobile devices thru Iphone and android players and connected to 16 countries with Canada as the highest visitor , 2nd USA ,3rd Philippines,4th UK, 5th Saudi Arabia followed by Australia  some part of Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Streaming 24/7 ,visitors come and go bringing us songs from the oldest music list they kept where younger generation listeners comments , they never heard the song since they were born, to the latest and top billboard hits. Fellow OFWs and Migrant workers were smiling when they heard the song Pusong Bato of Tilaok Band and Buko from Jireh Lim. The first song played in the radio was from AEGIS – I LOVE NA LANG SA TAGO. And the First Listener liker was Ms. PAM YAP of Edmonton, Alberta. Majority of listeners were from the age of late 20’s to the middle of 40’s. Fellows from the homeland Philippines connected to their love ones in foreign countries preferred to listen to those music of the ’70’s  and ’80s.

Moving on to the following months , some local and international artists (singer and writers) were featured in the radio’s website. In our first few months only Filipino music are played. the joy and big smile on everyone’s face  widened when we received our SOCAN Licensed. Everybody were happy as we could play their foreign artist favourite singers’ song too.

Canadian Pinoy Radio-Montreal  shared news reports of event happening in the Philippines and abroad. Partners in media  for events going on here in Montreal like Concert of singers here and to those  from Philippines coming here in Montreal. CPRM also broadcast  the live mass celebration from the Filipino Catholic Mission of Montreal, to fill in the spiritual needs  of our listeners particularly those in the middle east and some part of the globe last year during Holy Week and few more weeks. Presently, live mass is temporarily on hold due to some technical  difficulties. More hopeful this year, everything will be  fixed. Christian songs are played every day from 5:00-6:00 AM and PM EST or  Montreal time.

CPRM had just celebrated its first founding anniversary. Many events happened here in Montreal, around the international community and in Philippines. With the active participation of our energetic group, sponsors and supporters in the radio. Canadian Pinoy Radio-Montreal management are very thankful and inspired to exert more effort  to spread the messages, suffice the need of our fellow not only Filipinos but those who loved music and are miles away from their love ones. Together we connect and put a smile and a little joy in ones heart thru music.  Mabuhay tayong lahat !!!… Sail on CPRM…
